Our beloved Elder and Metropolitan Angelos fell asleep in the Lord on the evening of the Feast of the Annunciation (March 25/April 7) 2021 following a lengthy hospitalization. His passing follows that of the secretary of the Holy Synod, Abp. Porfyrios who reposed on March 20/April 2.
The North American Vicariate asks all the clergy and faithful to pray for the repose of the souls of our beloved hierarchs now and throughout their 40 days. Memorial services may be served as appropriate. The 40th day Memorial for Met. Angelos will be on the Sunday of the Holy Myrrhbearers, a feast he loved so very much.
